Bonnie F. Gotelaere

Bonnie Fae Gotelaere, 76, longtime area resident, died peacefully, Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN.
She was born in Superior, WI, July 20, 1943, the daughter of Ervin and Sherle (Brown) Wiggins. Bonnie was raised in Superior by her mother and stepfather, Jack Dowd.
Bonnie attended Superior East High School in Superior.
Bonnie was united in marriage to Tim Gotelaere, February 22, 1971 and they celebrated forty-nine years of marriage before her passing.
Bonnie and Tim lived and worked in many cities across the US. She once worked as a property manager for football hall-of-famer, Lance Alworth, and she was a registered member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Tribe.
After returning to her hometown, Bonnie quickly reconnected with and was cared for by the “Wiggins Tribe.”
Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband, Tim Gotelaere, Duluth, MN; sons, Timothy D. Gotelaere Jr., Florence, CO, and Bradley (Wendy) Gotelaere, Superior, WI; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Bruce “Binky” (Rose Ann) Brown, Superior, WI, Jim Dowd, Las Vegas, NV, and Scott (Kelly) Dowd, Sandwich, IL; seventy-two, nieces and nephews; and several grand nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry “ Buzz” (Gwen) Wiggins, and John “Johnny” Dowd; sister, Janie Carlson; maternal grandparents, Eudora and Lloyd Brown; paternal grandparents, Sam Wiggins and Rose Drowillard; Aunts, Janet Fae Brown, Jamesetta Dowd, Marge Dowd-Levendowski, and Bonnie Cooper; Uncles, James (Harriet) Dowd Sr., and Jerry Brown; and a nephew, Jeremy Wiggins.
