Alice M. Dailey

Alice M. Dailey, 90, died on Friday, March 19, 2021 at her home in Superior.

She was born on June 18th, 1930, the daughter of Leo and Bertha (Krueger) Winkel in New Richmond, WI.

Alice worked as a secretary at Cooper Elementary School and Weisberg Center from 1968-1991. Alice was known to others as Alice Cooper. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, dancing, cooking, sewing and knitting. She was a member of the Elks Lodge 403. The Gardenia was her favorite flower. Being a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Superior, WI, Alice served as a Sunday school teacher, a deacon, but most of all she enjoyed assisting with the fellowship hour after church services.

Alice is survived by her daughters, Dorinda “Dori” (Robert) Sorenson of Superior and Jill (Jeff) Hoivik of Hayward, WI; and sister, Barb Jacobs of Madison, WI. Alice is also survived by her three grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy and Joshua

A graveside service will be held at Nemadji Cemetery, Superior, later this summer.
