Albert W. Thiede

Albert ‘Al’ Walter Thiede, 96, of Solon Springs, WI, passed December 10, 2020 in Duluth, MN. Al was born to Walter and Anna (Moeller) Thiede on June 26, 1924, in Chicago, IL.

A WWII veteran, Al served 2.5 years in the US Navy. Al expressed pride in his work while a member of the Iron Workers Local Union 396. Throughout his career he assisted with the construction of many buildings and bridges.

Al was preceded in death by a son Brad ‘Scooter’ Thiede, his Mother, and Father. Al is survived by his daughter, Margi Weber of Seneca, IL; sons Bert and Steve Thiede of Duluth, MN; and brother Walt Thiede of Lake Havasu, AZ.

Military honors will be provided at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI. A cigar will be lit during this time.
