Richard Blaylock has passed away suddenly at the age of 72 in Altoona, Wisconsin. Richard was born in Wascott, Wisconsin on September 2, 1946 to Donald and Marcella Blaylock. Richard grew up in Solon Springs and attended Our Savior's Lutheran Church, graduating from St. Croix High School in 1964. Retired as Superintendent from Continental Grain Company (Nidera) after more than 45 years, Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting and reading in his retirement. Richard is lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Beverly of Altoona, WI and four daughters: Constance (Neil) Woida of Orlando, FL; Cynthia Blaylock of Milwaukee, WI; Kimberly (Joey) Bowker of Crofton, MD and Karmen (Skip) Pensyl of Pensacola, FL. Richard is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Nicole (Julius) Castro of Orlando, FL; Joshua Moore of Milwaukee, WI; Sloane Bowker of Crofton, MD and Cameryn Bowker of Crofton, MD and great-grandchild: Nikolai Castro of Orlando, FL. Richard enjoyed growing up with four brothers/sisters: Gwendolyn (Robert) Rettenmund of Rice Lake, WI; Ira Blaylock of Solon Springs, WI; Larry (Angie) Blaylock of Shell Lake, WI and Sandra (Matt) Vesper of Spooner, WI. Richard's loving family included many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who will miss him deeply.
Per his wishes, his physical remains were cremated and private services for the immediate family were officiated by Pastor Jason Clifton of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Solon Springs. Richard's life will be celebrated at an Open House on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the St. Croix Inn located at 11390 South 5th Street East in Solon Springs, WI.
