Kim Ann (Mouse) Bleskan
Kim Ann (Mouse) Bleskan, of Superior, passed away January 8, 2019, at St. Lukes Hospice Care Unit, Duluth, MN of complications associated with Hashimotos Encephalopathy.
She was born in Duluth, MN on February 1, 1960 to Leon and Karen (Gillen) Nord.
Kim graduated from Superior Senior High School and worked for many years at Superior Savings Bank, followed by the Superior Development Association and the Dugout Bar.
Kim was a very loving and generous soul who also was not afraid to speak her mind, a trait she shared with her immediate family.
In younger years she loved spending summer weekends and vacations at the camper in Barnes, WI. Kim was a proud hockey mom spending many hours at the rink and on the road attending tournaments.
She was an avid collector of all things tiny, especially figurines of mice. She was an animal lover, a daily crossword puzzler, enjoyed playing Yahtzee, listening to music, tending to her flower beds, watching ID, Badger and Vikings football as well as the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Kim was predeceased by her mother and step-father Karen and Robert Royse, cousin Tom Gillen and fur babies Sam, Miller, Snow and Ash.
Kim is survived by her son Cole (Kristy LaRue) Bleskan, father Leon (Dorothy) Nord, life-partner Doug Shykes, his daughter Josie, sister Cindy (Jim Freese) Holm, niece Jillian Holm, and furry friend Bud of Superior; brother Pat Nord, Tucson, AZ; niece Kati (Kevin) Ruhnke, Esko, MN; uncle Dick (Sissy Abbott) Gillen, Duluth; cousins Teri (Scott) Wallene, Las Cruces, NM and Laurie (Frank) Fudally, Superior.
Per Kim's wishes, no formal services will be held.
