Donna Lange Hoffman
Donna Marie Lange Hoffman passed away on August 2nd, 2019 at the Solvay House in Duluth, MN. She was born on July 23, 1949 and grew up in the Duluth Heights area. She graduated from Duluth Central HS in 1967. Donna worked at Bridgeman’s and after 20 years retired from the Duluth Clinic. She spent her retirement years traveling with her childhood friend Linda, traveling all over the world. She enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola items and hunting garage sale treasures. She volunteered at Essentia Superior, St Francis, and Cathedral School. She will be remembered for her loving, caring nature, cherishing time with her children and grandchildren. She had a fun loving, spunky, and witty personality that always made people smile and laugh. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Josephine (Mae) Lange, husband Kenneth Hoffman of Superior, brother, Brian Lange, and sister, Toni Eral. She will be missed dearly by her family. She is survived by her loving daughter, Lori Kunkel, son Todd Carlson (Jacie Olson), grandchildren Nathan and Molly Kunkel, and Arielle Carlson. Her brother Jerry (Phyllis) Lange, brother in law, Chuck Eral, step-children Scott Hoffman, Janette (Gene) Thill, several nieces, nephews and close friends. Services will be held at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Superior, WI on Monday, Aug 12th. Visitation from 10:00-11:00, followed by mass and a luncheon. Private burial will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Essentia ER, CICU, 4E, and the staff at Solvay House for the exceptional care Donna received. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Alzheimer’s Association, National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, or the Solvay House.
