Robert Lincoln Starstead

Robert Lincoln Starstead, 63, formerly of Superior, WI, passed peacefully at home in Green Valley, AZ, on Dec 12, 2017, with his wife, Kathy, at his side. He was born Nov 1, 1954, in Superior, WI, the son of Lincoln and Frances (Petersen) Starstead. He attended Superior Senior High School and served briefly in the Army (101st Airborne). After completing the boilermaker apprenticeship program, he became a proud journeyman until his retirement from Boilermakers Lodge #647. He married Kathryn Krause on April 27, 2002. They resided in Superior until moving to AZ in 2014. Bob enjoyed competitive sports in his younger years and is well remembered for his baseball pitching prowess. He loved Little League, fishing and waterskiing at the family cabin, the Green Bay Packers, and doing home improvement projects with his trusty assistant, Kathy. To know Bob is to never forget him. He loved telling stories of his many travels and experiences and will be sadly missed.He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gary and William; and infant granddaughter Jasmine.He is survived by two sons, Benjamin (Jonelle) and Jesse, both of Duluth, one daughter, Crystal, Superior, nine grandchildren, Ethan, Lachlan, Cole Jr, Cayden, Kiana, Eva, Jesse Jr, Adalyn, and Lincoln. Bob is also survived by three sisters, Marjorie (John Lange), Marilyn (Ric Lange), and Laurel (Joe Koehler), sister-in-law, Marilyn, and many nieces, nephews and their children. The family would like to thank Valor Hospice for their kind and compassionate care to Bob in his last months of life. A burial and celebration of life will be held next spring at VIP. The date and time will be announced prior to the event.
