Superior: Get hands-on help with a self-based computer skills course from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Superior Job Center, 1805 N. 14th St.

Duluth: Robert Hoffman, an assistant professor of economics in the College of St. Scholastica's School of Business and Technology, gives a free presentation, "Economic Growth Still Matters," at 7:30 p.m. in the Mitchell Auditorium on campus.


Foxboro: The sixth annual Superior School Forest Fall Fair takes place 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the forest, 2155 E. School Forest Road. The free event includes a flashlight forest walk, science experiments, storytelling, live music, a coloring contest and a bonfire. Tickets will be sold for additional activities including face painting, a book walk and games. Hay rides available from 4:30 p.m. to sunset. Concessions and baked goods will be sold, as well as apple cider, applesauce and Bayfield apples. Money raised benefits the Superior High School Drama Department.
