Wells Fargo donation goes to HDC upgrades
The Human Development Center received a $15,000 donation from Wells Fargo for building renovations to provide upgrades to HDC’s facilities. The recent economic downturn caused HDC to curtail non-essential spending given reductions in funding. As a result, HDC has had to defer replacement of furniture in therapy offices and related waiting rooms. The Wells Fargo donation will allow the agency to update therapy rooms and improve waiting areas that serve its clients.
“Having a relaxed and calming lobby area is important to HDC, as we want our focus of comfort to resonate throughout our buildings and our staff,” said Jim Getchell, HDC Executive Director.
“HDC provides a vital service to our community,” said Scott Bradt, Wells Fargo Business Banking president for Duluth. “We are delighted to give them the opportunity to update their facilities while enhancing their space for their clients through this donation.”
HDC serves residents in Carlton, Cook, Lake and southern St. Louis counties in Minnesota, and Douglas County in Wisconsin.
