Charges filed against 2 in Radisson slaying
HAYWARD (AP) -- Two people face charges in what investigators say was a killing with satanic overtones in the Sawyer County community of Radisson.
Authorities say 27-year-old Christopher Roalson of Radisson broke into Irena Roszak's home and killed the 93-year-old woman May 3.
Charges of first-degree intentional homicide and burglary were filed Friday against Roalson. A 15-year-old Exeland boy was charged with being party to the crimes. According to authorities, the victim had about 15 stab wounds.
Sheriff Jim Meier said Roalson told investigators he is the "son of Satan," and he had a crucifix in his house turned upside down, a sign the devil is "occupied and happy."
Roalson is scheduled to appear in court June 22. The 15-year-old is due in court June 15.
They're held on $1 million bond.
