The seven-day average of positive COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin has remained relatively flat for the last week. On Monday, the figure was 648. The seven-day average of positive cases measures the average number of new cases per day over the previous week. An overall decrease in the seven-day average of positive cases indicates the number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in the state is also going down, according to DHS.

The number of negative tests in the state was 2,856,874 Monday, an increase of 10,338 since Friday.

An additional 134 people, including one person in Douglas County, have been hospitalized because of the virus since Friday, bringing the total to 29,411 Monday. Overall, 4.9% of Wisconsinites who contracted the virus have been hospitalized.

Monday's report also showed that 97.4% of the people who have tested positive for the virus have recovered. That means 1.3%, or 8,600 cases, are currently active.

DHS also reports that 4,479,776 doses of vaccine have been administered by Monday with 2,527,645 Wisconsin residents, 43.4% of the population, receiving at least one dose of vaccine, and 2,009,464 people completing the vaccine series. More than one-third of all Wisconsinites have been fully vaccinated.
