All 10 counties in Northwestern Wisconsin reported new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, Oct. 10, according to DHS .
The new cases were reported as follows: 13 in Douglas County; 11 in Bayfield County; eight in Ashland County; six each in Price and Sawyer counties; five in Rusk County; four in Washburn County; three each in Burnett and Taylor counties; and one in Iron County.
They were among 2,742 new cases in the state reported Saturday, pushing the total to 147,560. The 7-day percentage for positive tests was 17.6%.
Eighteen additional people died from the virus, bringing the total number of deaths in the state to 1,458. Overall, 1% of people who contracted the virus in Wisconsin have died, DHS data shows.
The number of negative tests in the state was 1,530,306, an increase of 11,644 from the day before.

An additional 120 people were hospitalized because of the virus Saturday. There are currently 876 Wisconsinites hospitalized because of the virus. Overall, about 6% of Wisconsinites who contracted the virus have been hospitalized.
