Douglas, Iron, Price and Taylor counties reported new cases of COVID-19 Sunday, July 19, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services .

Taylor County reported the most new cases with two, bringing its total to 32 cases. Douglas, Iron and Price counties each reported one new case, raising their totals to 75, 26 and 12, respectively.

Statewide there were a total of 42,315 positive cases of the coronavirus Sunday, DHS said, an increase of 830 from the day before. Of the tests reported, 10.3% were positive.

One additional person died from COVID-19, leaving the total number of deaths in the state at 844.

The number of negative tests in the state was 730,902, an increase of 7,259 from the day before.

Of the people statewide who have tested positive for the new coronavirus, 10% — or 4,107 people — have been hospitalized because of the virus as of Sunday. DHS reported that officials don't know the hospitalization history of 14,152 people, or 33%.

Sunday's report also showed that 77% of those with confirmed cases have recovered from the illness.

Wisconsin's daily testing capacity was 24,162 on Sunday. An increase in the number of tests being done is one reason for the increase in the number of positive cases. The percentage of positive tests over the last several days was:

6.6% on Tuesday, July 14
5.9% on Wednesday, July 15
6.3% on Thursday, July 16
6.6% on Friday, July 17
7.9% on Saturday, July 18
10.3% on Sunday, July 19
