Jordan Olson and Anna Pettingill, both juniors at Superior High School, were selected as the Superior Noon Optimists Club Junior Optimists for the month of May.
Olson is a member of Future Business Leaders of America, the Interact Club and the youth leadership program. He participates in SHS football, baseball and swimming. His goal is to attend a four year college to pursue a degree in architectural engineering. He would also like to participate in college baseball or swimming.
Pettingill is a member of the National Honor Society, the Scott Anderson Leadership Program and is a DARE role model. She participates in SHS hockey and softball and is the football manager. She plans to go to college, but at this time is undecided about her major.
The students have been joining the Optimist Club for weekly luncheon meetings. They will have the opportunity next fall to apply for a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by the club.
