Students are needed to serve as youth representatives on the Superior City Council and the Douglas County Board.
The city and county are both looking for two students serve a two-year term, the first as an alternate and the second as the main youth representative with terms to begin in September. Students currently in grades 9 and 10 can apply.
Students must living within Douglas County to serve on the board, or the city to serve on Superior's Common Council.
The initiative gives youth an chance to play a role in community decision-making process. Students must be willing to commit some time, and energy and enthusiasm are needed.
Apply by May 31. Students attending area high schools can pick up the application materials at their schools, on the Web at http://douglas.uwex.edu/4h , at the UW-Extension Office In the Douglas County Courthouse, Room 107, or call Joan Wimme at 395-1363.
