Youth: Cathedral School students elect council

After a week of campaigning and speeches, the Cathedral middle school students elected this year's student council. The candidates gathered signatures to petition to run for different positions, and they prepared and gave campaign speeches.

After a week of campaigning and speeches, the Cathedral middle school students elected this year's student council. The candidates gathered signatures to petition to run for different positions, and they prepared and gave campaign speeches.

The following students received the most votes to become a part of the 2007-2008 Student Council:

  • Sara DeVinck, president
  • Anne Tracy, vice president
  • Peter Krause, secretary
  • Spencer Sitek, treasurer
  • Annie Shober, historian

Eighth grade representatives:

  • Sam DeMeyer
  • Juliana Polson
  • CeCe Preston

Seventh grade representatives:

  • Brandon Gustafson
  • Nicole Stodola
  • Evan Walpole

Sixth grade
representatives:

The Student Council works as a voice for the middle school students. Some of their activities include planning and preparing dances, performing service projects and helping assist Cathedral School during some of its functions. Student council advisor Michelle Vinoski also teaches the members about correct meeting procedure and etiquette.
