Grandma's Sports Garden's finale for its Rock Garden live music series on Thursday is a 16-and-older concert featuring young bands from the area. Cover charge is $4 and music begins at 9 p.m.
Each of these rockers has returned from outdoor rock festivals and are ready to end the summer with one last big show. Shivogitt, fresh from Green Man, is comprised of four East High School students and recent graduates. And Then I Turned Seven, who performed this summer on an East coast tour, are a group of local high school alumn. Also, the band At 1507, a blend of East High School and Hermantown High School students and graduates, recently headlined at Rancha Palooza, a Blue Earth, Minn., outdoor festival. Each has a distinctive music style that includes original material, but enjoys rocking the house with their own variations of some popular cover songs. All three bands have CDs featuring original material that they'll be giving out as door prizes.
