Grandma's Marathon-Duluth, Inc. has announced a new Web site devoted entirely to the Young Athletes Foundation (YAF).
Log onto www.youngathletesfoundation.com and with just a few clicks you can learn about the YAF's various programs, sponsors, races and other fundraising events. Grant applications are also available to download and submit. The YAF provides funds to aid nonprofit youth organizations with program development or to help purchase new equipment needed for the continued success and safety of their programs.
"The creation of this site is truly a great opportunity for the community to learn more about all of the aspects surrounding the Young Athletes Foundation," said Scott Keenan, executive director of Grandma's Marathon.
The Young Athletes Foundation (YAF) was developed by Grandma's Marathon in 1990 to assist in the promotion, development and growth of youth athletics. Since its inception, the YAF has contributed more than $325,000 to nonprofit youth athletic organizations and programs in Carlton, Cook, Douglas, Lake and St. Louis counties.
