Workshop offers strategies for jobseekers over 50

The University of Wisconsin Extension and Northwest Workforce Investment Board are partnering with the AARP Foundation to offer free training for people over age 50 who are looking for work or to change employment.

The University of Wisconsin Extension and Northwest Workforce Investment Board are partnering with the AARP Foundation to offer free training for people over age 50 who are looking for work or to change employment.

The workshop “7 Smart Strategies for 50+ Jobseekers” will be offered July 24 at the Solon Springs Community Center from 10 a.m. until noon. This is a free workshop and open to the public.

This workshop focuses on helping retirees and people interested in seeking new employment how to successfully navigate through the job seeking process. Participants will learn how to identify their skills, establish a personal marketing plan, where new skills can be obtained and how to navigate through the employment application and interview process.
