Woody Budnick, 53, of 11419 E. First St. N., Lake Nebagamon, died Sunday, May 13, 2007, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 4, 1954, in Superior, son of Lorne and Maxine Budnick.
Woody graduated from Superior Senior High School and the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
His work history included a marketing consultant for TeleResources, hosted numerous racing and tourism shows, Discover Wisconsin, Douglas County Board of Supervisors and executive director of the Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce.
Woody was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and he enjoyed gardening, hockey and racing.

Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Betty McNaughton.
Survivors include Jan Follis and her children and grandchildren, Trish, Jason, Ellie and Kate Bartylla of Champlin, Minn., Troy, Wendy, Hunter and Parker Follis of Maple, Wis., and Travis, Kim and Preston Follis, of Champlin, Minn.; siblings, Lorne (Renate) Budnick, Brooklyn Park, Minn., Connie, Washington, Julie Hill, Madison, Marlene Budnick, Superior, Mick (Louanne) Budnick, Lake Nebagamon, Diane (William) Greeley, South Range, and Rusty (June) Budnick, Dubuque, Iowa; former wife, Sally Budnick, Superior; and many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden Avenue and North 19th Street, and will resume at 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lake Nebagamon, with the Rev. Darrell Kyle officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Dennis Malinowski, Roger Salomaki, John Lange, Robert Anderson Sr., Richard Gondik and Michael Dufour. Honorary pallbearers will members of the Douglas County Board of Supervisors.
