A Superior woman is facing a felony charge for allegedly spitting at Superior police officers.

Michelle Lynn Husemoller, 43, also faces misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct-domestic abuse and resisting an officer for an incident that took place Saturday morning. She made an initial appearance Monday in Douglas County Circuit Court.

According to the criminal complaint:

Husemoller slapped her boyfriend and threatened to kill his dog. When Superior police were called to her apartment, Husemoller was loud, belligerent and appeared to be drunk. She yelled that she has multiple diseases and threatened to infect the officers present by spitting at them. The Superior woman hid in her bedroom and threatened to spit at an officer who attempted to enter. A short time later, Husemoller opened the door, stepped out toward the officers and spit before retreating back into the room.

Husemoller pleaded not guilty to the two misdemeanor counts. She was released on a $2,000 signature bond with the condition that she have no violent or abusive contact with the victim and that she not use any alcohol. A preliminary hearing was set for next week.
