The Superior Police Department investigating a possible assault on a woman walking home from the Dodgie's East End Tavern street dance Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

The woman was found shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday by her partner about a block from the event along East Fifth Street, according to Assistant Chief Matt Markon.

She had lost a tooth and was taken to the hospital for an evaluation. No other information on her condition was available.

The female told responding officers she had been jumped, Markon said, but it's unclear where or how she was injured. He said the incident will be assigned to a detective and investigated.

There were no other battery or robbery calls over the weekend, according to the SPD log.
