Duluth-bound lanes on the Blatnik Bridge are closed.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation and city of Superior is recommending some alternate routes to alleviate congestion for Duluth-bound travelers.

Alternate routes include:

* U.S. Highway 53 north toward the Blatnik bridge, then follow State Highway 35 south to Tower Avenue. Turn right from Tower Avenue to west on Winter Street. Follow Winter Street to Susquehanna Avenue and turn right at the ramp entrance to U.S. Highway 2. Construction on U.S. 53 reduces traffic to one lane at the bridge near Catlin Courts. Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zone.
