Wisconsin skated past Colorado College 3-1

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- Ryan Little scored at 4:12 of the third period to break a 1-1 tie and Wisconsin went on to beat Colorado College 3-1 in the opener of the Western Collegiate Hockey League first-round best-of-3 playoff series.

Jefferson Dahl scored an empty-net goal with 11 seconds left for the Badgers (21-14-4), who won on the road for the first time since Jan. 29.

Scott Gudmandson made 27 saves for Wisconsin, allowing just a power-play goal to Nick Dineen 5:53 into the second period. The Badgers' Joe Faust scored to tie the game with 8:49 left in the second period.

Joe Howe made 19 saves for the Tigers (19-17-3).

The Badgers can wrap up a berth in the WCHA Final Five with a win on Saturday.
