Wis. woman accused of killing grandson and husband

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A 46-year-old Milwaukee woman charged with killing her 10-month-old grandson was convicted of shooting the infant's grandfather over 20 years ago.

Lisa Humphrey is accused of spiking Royality Sanders' bottle with morphine. His body was found April 28 on the mattress he had shared the night before with Humphrey and his 2-year-old sister.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports ( http://bit.ly/qs8d3x ) a jury found Humphrey guilty in 1989 of shooting her husband, Curtis Humphrey, in the back and throat as he tried to leave their apartment building in 1988. She was sentenced to six years.

Twenty-four-year-old Queentesta Humphrey is their daughter and Royality's mother.

She says she's the only one of her siblings who would talk to her after she was released. She says she's now close to having a nervous breakdown.
