William Leonard Hall, 89, South Range, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, in St. Francis Home in the Park.

He was born Sept. 6, 1917, in Brainerd, Minn., to William and Alma (Taylor) Hall.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Bill married Angeline Fall on Aug. 27, 1955, and celebrated 51 years of marriage.

He was employed with Cutler-Magner for more than 30 years before his retirement in 1981.

Bill was a member of Darrow Road Wesleyan Church and the Parkland Fire Department. He loved to work with wood and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his wife, Angie, Bill is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Randy) Martin, South Range and Penny (Paul) Schlies, Superior; one son, Steve (Becky) Hall, Foxboro; three granddaughters, Tracy (Grae) Crowfoot, Minneapolis, Jessica (Craig) Burfield, Madison, and Renea Martin, Minneapolis; one great-grandson, Logan Burfield, Madison; one brother, Frank Hall, Sauk Center, Minn; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, William B. Hall on Oct. 23, 1981; his parents; one sister, Alice Rolfsen; and three brothers, Gene, Mickey; and John Hall.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home. Visitation continues at noon Monday until the 1 p.m. funeral service in the Darrow Road Wesleyan Church. Pastor Mark Holmes will officiate.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Steve, David and Dennis Hall, Paul Schlies, Gene Nickel and Randy Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Morgan, Bob Dawson, Pete Leone, Rick Horn and Wayde Hietala.
