HOLIDAY SAMPLER

DEC. 5, SUPERIOR -- The season of giving kicks off in Superior with a Holiday Sampler event 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Fairlawn Mansion and Museum. The evening includes a silent auction, wine and beer tasting, an hors d'oeuvres buffet and musical entertainment. Tickets are priced at $20 each, with a portion of the proceeds donated to Harbor House Crisis Shelter in Superior. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling 394-5712.

MEETINGS

TUESDAY, SUPERIOR -- Zeta Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority meets at 11:30 a.m. at the home of Carla Bergstrom. A potluck luncheon will be served. Members are reminded to bring donations for Toys for Tots and scarves and mittens for the Salvation Army.

WEDNESDAY, SUPERIOR -- Norrona Lodge 27, Sons of Norway, meets at 7 p.m. at the Superior Senior Center. There will be election of officers. Bring a Christmas tree decoration that has meaning for you. Servers are Dick and Arlene Jacobson, and Alan and Beth Arnson.

WEDNESDAY, SUPERIOR -- Three new members of Eagles Auxiliary 80 will be initiated at the 7 p.m. meeting. Kim Rich, president, presides. Lunch to follow will be served by Millie Rusch and Pat Smith. The agenda also includes final plans for the children's Christmas party Dec. 2 as well as the auxiliary Christmas party at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Shack. Members attending the Christmas party should bring a gift valued at no more than $5 to exchange with your secret pal gift. The auxiliary's past presidents' Christmas party is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Golden Inn and all members are asked to bring an exchange gift of not more than $5 in value.

MONDAY, DULUTH -- A guitar ensemble concert is featured at 7:30 p.m. in Weber Music Hall, University of Minnesota Duluth campus. Billy Barnard is director of the ensemble. Tickets are priced at $6 for adults; $5 for seniors; and $3 for students; and may be purchased by calling 726-8877.
