After a stretch of days with highs around and below freezing, we get bumped back into low to mid-40s Wednesday under mostly cloudy skies. Southeast winds will be breezy with gusts around 25 mph. The cloudy skies and mild air continue overnight, allowing Thursday to begin with temperatures in the upper 20s to mid-30s. Much of the Northland will rise to the mid and upper 40s with partly cloudy skies Thursday. Highs drop to the upper 30s as you move northwest toward Bemidji and International Falls due to a cold front. This front brings a chance for a wintry mix Thursday evening and night. There's a slight chance for freezing rain to be in the mix across the Arrowhead region with less than an inch of snow expected. The Friday morning commute may be slick from the Grand Rapids area to the Iron Range and north of there.
