Temperatures heading out the door are ranging from single digits near the Canadian border to low 30s along the South Shore. We are beginning Wednesday with minimal cloud cover, but skies will quickly become mostly cloudy ahead of our next clipper dropping in from the northwest. Southerly winds ahead of this system will kick in throughout the day and bring highs into the mid 30s to low 40s.
Light snow showers will begin to crawl west to east along the international border Wednesday afternoon. The wintry mix will try and work south across the Arrowhead in the later part of the evening. This transitions to rain showers as the system passes Thursday with the steadiest rain likely falling across Northwest Wisconsin. Scattered light snow showers will linger across the Northland Thursday evening behind the cold front. This cooler air will stay with us Friday into the weekend.
