Your forecast for today: The dry and cold weather we have seen recently will begin to transition to better chances of snow showers today as a weak system slides across the area. This will keep overcast skies and scattered snow showers and flurries around through the day with a high near 36 degrees. Total accumulation today through tonight will be very light with only a dusting for most areas and up to an inch in a few isolated spots downwind of large inland lakes and Lake Superior.

Tonight: The clouds and the snow showers will stick around this evening and into much of the overnight hours. Temperatures will drop to a low near 24 degrees by Saturday morning.

Tomorrow: We could see a few passing snow flurries lingering into Saturday morning, but overall we should see a drying trend under mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will again remain well below average with a high near 34 degrees.

Another weak area of low pressure will slide south of the area on Sunday and keep mostly cloudy skies in the forecast along with a slim chance of rain and snow showers. Temperatures will be slightly warmer into the low 40s on Sunday before another shot of cold air arrives next week.
