Vivian A. Brennan, Superior, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, in St. Mary's Hospital, Superior.
She was born April 4, 1918, to Andrew and Anna Paulson in Sanborn, Minn.
Vivian was one of the strongest women in the world. Her entire life was centered around her family, friends and her beauty shop, Brennan Hair Fashions.
She was an avid skier, golfer, bowler who was still skiing the "powder snow" of Austria at the age of eighty. She loved to dance and sing, and could be tempted from time to time to bring her beloved "Yuke" out to sing and play. Vivian was a great story teller, relating stories told to her by her mother and grandmother and entertaining her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all she touched during her time on this earth.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Anna, her brothers, Herbert and Percy, a baby daughter, Judith, and her beloved husband, Lawrence "Bud" Brennan.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Anna Marie "Re" (Paul) Gibson of Wrentham, Mass., grandsons, Joe (Kristin), Robb (Linda) and Jess (Kariena), four great-grandchildren; her son, Patrick of Silver Bay, Minn., and granddaughter, Deanna (Chris) Barth.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service in the Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home. Deacon James McCusker will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Douglas County Humane Society.
