Virginia R. "Ginny" Booker, 59, South Range, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, in her residence following a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born Nov. 2, 1947, in Superior to Virgil and Lucille (Houchin) Cummings.
She graduated from Northwestern High School and worked at Duluth Avionics, St. Joseph's Hospital, Dreamland Supper Club and for the past 17 years, at the Middle River Tavern.
Ginny enjoyed crocheting, baking, reading, being outside in the summertime but mostly spending time with her grandchildren and her cat, Angyl.
She is survived by one son, Michael Booker, South Range; two granddaughters, Selina Booker, Poplar and Nikki Severin, Lake Nebagamon; one grandson, Nathen Myers, Superior; two brothers, Marv Cummings, Poplar and Dave "Moon" Martin, Poplar; one sister, Sharon Armagost, Iron River; one half-sister, Cindy Peterson of Gordon; one half-brother, Dennis Cummings, Superior; special friend, Harvey Rath; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Ginny was preceded in death by a son, Brian Booker, two brothers, Lester Cummings and Gerald Martin and her parents, Lucille and George Martin.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Saturday in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home. Pastor David Kebschull, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, will officiate.
Interment will be Parkview Cemetery in Hawthorne.
Active pallbearers for the service will be Mike Booker, Nathen Myers, Marv Cummings, Dave "Moon" Martin, Harvey Rath and Roger Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Renman, Ben Severson and Scott Bodahl, Selina Booker, Nikki Severin, LeAnn Drain, Pam Martin, Donna Pearson, Ellyn Danielson, Lori Maine, Jan Leroux, Evonne Bodahl and Sharon Armagost.
