Vernie M. (Granstrom) Ramsey, 95, Superior, died on Thursday, May 10, 2007, in St, Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
Vernie was born in Superior on Aug. 10, 1911, to Thomas J. and Nellie O'Brien. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Superior. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include, three sons, Dale (Helen) Granstrom of Iron River, Wis., Dennis (Elsie) Granstrom of Springbrook, Wis., and Peter (Mary) Granstrom of Superior; daughter, Susan (Robert) Plunkett of Superior and step-daughter, Julie (John A.) Berg of Superior; a sister, Dorothy Doggett of Kingsman, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildrern.
Vernie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lester, who died on Sept. 24, 1988, her identical twin Izabelle, sister Mary Nelson, four brothers and one grandson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral services in the Thonpson-Hegstrom Funeral Home with the Rev. Joel Huenemann officiating. Interrment will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
