Superior Police are investigating a rash of car, business and residence vandalism that took place overnight. Several dozen vehicles, a couple businesses and at least one residence had windows shot out with a BB gun or something similar, according to Sgt. Derrick Hughes with the police department.
At approximately 3 a.m. this morning, officers of the Superior Police Department started receiving calls to the 2600 and 2700 blocks of Banks and Oakes avenues reporting vehicle windows being shot out with some sort of BB gun.
As the night shift progressed into the later morning hours, numerous other calls started coming in to the 911 call center from all across the city. At this time it is unknown what the exact total of vehicles is, but it is believed to be between 40 and 75. A small service garage on Winter Street had a window shot out, as did a residence within the city.
At this time there are no suspects or other information available to us, so further information will be released as it is developed and sorted out.
