Explore the Superior Challenge Ropes Course at the University of Wisconsin-Superior during a free community day 1-5 p.m. Saturday.

The ropes course consists of a series of high and low climbing activities. Participants work anywhere from a one foot to 30 feet above the ground as they develop skills in solving problems, communicating, making decisions and building trust.

Community day is supervised by trained and certified UW-Superior outdoor staff.

No experience is necessary.

All ages are welcome, but children under 18 must have a parent or guardian present. The Challenge Course is located behind Wessman Arena on the UWS south campus.

The Superior Challenge Ropes Course is open to groups of all kinds including -- scouts, corporate groups, youth groups, birthday parties, camps, school groups and class trips.

Activities are available for both individual and group participation regardless of age, physical limitation, or ability.

Activity packages range from a two-hour introductory session to a seven-hour combination of high and low ropes.
