The University of Wisconsin Superior announced sponsorship of the Child and Adult Care Food Program ("At-Risk" After School Care Center Component) at the Upward Bound Program on campus.
The Child and Adult Care Food Program receive funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and is administered by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The program provides financial assistance to "At-Risk" After School Care Centers so nutritious meals can be integrated with nonresidential day care services for the enrolled children. Meals and snacks served meet standards set by USDA, and are provided at no separate charge, and are available to all children without regard to race, sex, color, disability, age, or national origin.
