Superior police are investigating a rash of burglaries occurring through the Billings Park area on the west edge of the city.
At about 8 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a call of an unlocked garage being entered and the vehicle rummaged through. The only thing that appeared to be missing was some loose change, according to a news release issued by Detective Sgt. Derrick Hughes.
A short time later, the officer received another 10 complaints from residents in the neighborhood, along White Birch Drive and White Birch Trail near the St. Louis River.
All the residents reported the same type of activity -- unlocked garages and vehicles being rummaged through. Some were missing loose change.
Of the 14 homes in the area, 11 were targets of the crime. At least one of the resident's homes was not a victim because the vehicles were parked in the locked garage.

Police have received similar reports from other parts of town over the last few months.
The Superior Police Department would like to remind citizens not to keep valuables or money in their vehicles and to secure their vehicles and garages whenever possible.
