Two new records were set at the Superior fifth-grade Track-O-Rama, which took place Thursday at the University of Wisconsin-Superior Health & Wellness Center.
Max Nicholson of Northern Lights set a new record in the 400-meter dash, and Cooper set a new record in the boys' 800-meter relay.
The old records were both set in 2008. Nicholson's time of 1:10.95 bettered the time of 1:14.88 set by Brian Wines of Northern Lakes in 2008, while Cooper's relay time of 2:14.897 shattered the old record of 2:16.65 set by Northern Lights in 2008.
Sophie Kintop, of Four Corners, was a double winner on the girls side, winning the 50- and 200-meter dashes.
Northern Lights defeated Cooper in the tug-o-war.
