DULUTH, Minn. --  A 39-year-old man and an 11-year-old girl  were found dead in a fifth-wheel trailer in Rice Lake Township, just outside the Duluth city limits,  on Wednesday evening.

Authorities said the cause of both deaths had not yet been determined, but that there were high levels of carbon monoxide in the trailer.

Authorities were called to the scene at 6:55 p.m. after the victims apparently were found by a family member, said Sgt. Todd Abernethy of the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.

Abernethy said that a generator was found running near the trailer. The victims appeared to be living in the trailer.
