A Twin Ports man accused of sexually assaulting a girl younger than age 12 appeared in Douglas County Circuit Court on Wednesday.
Alexander Taylor, 39, faces three counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child. He waived his time limits for a preliminary hearing and the hearing was set for Nov. 20.
Cash bail of $5,000 was set for the case and Taylor was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.
According to the criminal complaint:
The charges stem from incidents occurring between 2007 and 2010 in Superior. Taylor is accused of touching the victim's groin area and finger penetration.

During a Child First interview, the victim said Taylor told her if she told anybody, her mother would call the cops and she would be taken away. She said during the incidents, Taylor would tickle her stomach and then his finger would go under her clothes and inside her body.
Taylor was convicted of child abuse, battery, bail jumping and intimidate victim to dissuade reporting in 2011, and was sentenced to 30 months of probation and 107 days in jail. He was ordered to undergo psychological, anger and chemical dependency evaluations and have no contact with the victims.
Taylor remains in custody at the Douglas County Jail. Cash bail of $5,000 was set for the sex assault case.
Court records indicate that Taylor has no current address.
