As a young person who is looking to lay down roots in the Twin Ports, I feel the elections of Duluth and Superior are very important to the area. I am writing this letter in support of Mary Tripp for Wisconsin's 73rd District Assembly. I feel Mary will have a common sense impact on the area in terms of economic and social legislation.
I am tired of seeing young people fleeing to other parts of the state immediately after high school and college for lack of solid jobs in the area. Mary is in full support of the expansion of Murphy Oil with proper environmental regulations showing her commitment of interplay between environmentalism and local prosperity. With the current oil situation being what it is today, we need a leader who will work with the oil companies, not against them. Murphy Oil has provided good jobs in the area since its inception and Mary wants to see it continue to do so.
Mary knows first-hand of the troubles facing young job seekers in the area. I had her as a professor at UWS and she constantly had local professionals in the fields of advertising and business come in to speak of opportunities for students about to graduate from college. With her real world approach to her teaching style and desire to expose young people to Twin Port's professionals is a great example of her desire to see the area prosper and to keep young people living and working in the area.
Mary also knows the importance of taking care of the senior citizens of the community who helped build this area to what it is today. She supports assistance for seniors for prescription drugs and wants to see an 11 county Aging Disability Resource Center erected in the near future. She has spent time visiting with local senior citizens and knows the difficulties they face in part due to a government that seems to have left them behind. Mary will make sure the senior citizens know the options available to them and see to it they can always afford their prescription medication.
I am in full support of Mary Tripp to represent the 73rd District of Wisconsin. I encourage every voter to visit her web site and see her resume and all of the plans she has laid out for the citizens of the district. I feel she is ready to put the party politics aside and do what is best for the people of the 73rd District. Please vote for Mary Tripp on Election Day.
