Trail damage leads to shutdown of Superior's 42nd Street
The city of Superior has closed 42nd Street due to vandalism and damage to the trails and roads in the municipal forest. The street is scheduled to reopen the week of June 3, according to a Facebook post Monday, April 22, on the city of Superior page.
Officials reported that illegal dumping has also been a problem in the forest. Once 42nd Street and Billings Drive reopen for the season, residents are encouraged to call 911 to report any illegal or suspicious activity.
