MADISON - The U.S. Attorney has added child pornography charges against a rural Superior man already accused in Douglas County Circuit Court of sexually assaulting a child.
Leroy Edward Bond Jr., 41, is to be arraigned Dec. 11 in federal court with producing child pornography for allegedly taking naked photographs of a minor female in August.

According to the complaint filed last month in federal court:
Bond was arrested in Superior in October for sexually assaulting two minors. Bond told authorities that he assaulted two minor females and took naked pictures of one of them with his cell phone camera.
Detective John Parenteau of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department found several sexually explicit photos of a minor female on Bond’s cell phone. Authorities obtained a search warrant and seized Bond’s cell phone and computer.
Bond had admitted to downloading the photos from his cell phone to his computer and authorities also found the sexually explicit photos on the computer.
Metadata on the photos indicate they were taken Aug. 16.
If convicted of producing child pornography Bond faces five to 20 years in prison.
Bond also faces four counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child in Douglas County Circuit Court.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Altman, assigned to the case, said she did not know if the state or federal prosecution would proceed first against Bond.
