The year is flying by. Can you believe it’s almost August?

Douglas County continues to have a productive year and we look forward to serving our citizens and travelers in the future. Douglas County residents are our top priority, ensuring quality resources and services are provided in an effective and efficient manner. You may utilize many of these resources and services whether you realize it or not.

Our highway crews work hard to maintain our infrastructure. The forestry department is continually maintaining trails and boat landings. Health and Human Services provide a variety of services and resources all for our great citizens to live a better life.

We take pride in and value helping our citizens because we know they are what make this community so wonderful to live, work and play in.

Meetings

The Insurance Benefit Committee meets at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Room 204 of the Douglas County Government Center, 1316 N. 14th St., Superior.

The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee meets at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Douglas County Highway Department, 7417 County Road E, Hawthorne.

An Administration Committee meets at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Room 207C of the Douglas County Courthouse, 1313 Belknap St., Superior.

Updates

Senior Connections, Douglas County and the city of Superior host a Senior Picnic for people 60 or older Aug. 10 at the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds Multi-Purpose Center. Tickets are $8 and must be purchased in advance. Call 715-394-3611.
