Residents are teaming up to end Alzheimer's disease at the annual Alzheimer's Association's Memory Walk. This year's event takes place Sept. 6 at the Mariner Mall.
The event raises public awareness and funds for the fight against Alzheimer's disease. In 2007, Memory Walk raised more than $30 million nationwide for care and support of those affected by the disease and research for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of Alzheimer's.
To start a team, walk as an individual, or make a donation, contact the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Wisconsin Chapter office at (920) 469-2110 or visit www.alz.org/gwwi
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. for the 9 a.m. walk.
