St. Scholastica men's soccer members Dustin James, a junior from Superior, and Courtney Bonnick, a sophomore from Nottingham, England, have been named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference men's soccer players of the week.
Bonnick, the offensive player of the week, scored the overtime goal to down Macalester College in the season opener last Friday.
James, the defensive player of the week, helped the Saints on both sides of the ball in their overtime win at Macalester. After patrolling a defense that allowed just one goal, he scored the game-tying goal with a little more than one minute remaining in regulation.
