Two Superior women attending the University of Wisconsin-Superior have been chosen to receive the inaugural scholarship established by university alumni who are members of the Lambda Sigma Lambda/Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority.

Recipients are Kimberly Store and Susan Kusilek, both of Superior. Store, a junior majoring in speech communications, has served as a student ambassador, member of the Student Activities Board and as an orientation group leader. She is a member of the UWS symphonic band and women's golf team.

Kusliek, a senior majoring in mass communications, has served as an orientation group leader, a student ambassador and a member of the Student Senate. She also is a peer advisor on campus.

The scholarship gives preference to students who are a Lambda Sigma Lambda/Sigma Sigma Sigma family member. Other criteria include leadership qualities and academic merit. Each year, one scholarship will be awarded to a woman entering her junior year and a second one to a woman entering her senior year.
