A Superior woman accused of operating while intoxicated for a seventh time waived a preliminary hearing Wednesday in Douglas County Circuit Court.

Melissa Marjorie Booth, 44, faces one count seventh offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Cash bail of $1,000 was set with the condition Booth not operate a motor vehicle unless she has a valid driver's license and she not use or consume any alcoholic beverages.

According to the criminal complaint:

The truck Booth was driving was stopped by Officer Eric Olson shortly after midnight Nov. 12 after a restaurant employee reported a possible intoxicated driver in the driver-through.

Olson followed the vehicle, and after it crossed into an oncoming lane while making a left turn, he stopped the vehicle. Booth was unsteady on her feet, spoke in a confused manner and did not immediately comply with directions.

While waiting for a blood draw at the hospital, she stated the test wasn't needed because she had too much to drink. She said it wasn't her fault; the bartender had served her too much.

Booth's next court appearance is Jan. 3.
