The Superior School Board will resume in-person meetings starting in April.
To allow for social distancing, the meetings will be held at the Superior High School Performing Arts Center. The first meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, April 5.
Given the current community transmission rates, the board discussed moving back to in-person meetings during its March 8 regular board meeting. It’s easier for residents to come and ask questions when the meetings are in person, board members said.
The meetings will no longer be livestreamed, as they have been since the pandemic began. The district does not have the capability to record meetings at the performing arts center, according to District Administrator Amy Starzecki, so no recordings of the proceedings will be made.
Once the meetings can return to the boardroom, possibly as early as this fall, Starzecki said recording of sessions would resume.
