Superior police will hold a community meeting regarding the release of a sex offender at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the council chambers of the Government Center. Brooks Anthony Hanson, 25, will be released from incarceration April 11. He will be residing at 1630 N. 16th St. in Superior.

According to a release from Assistant Chief Matt Markon with the Superior Police Department, Hanson engaged in sexual contact with a 6-year-old who was known to him and possessed child pornography depicting minor males and females.

Under the conditions of his release, Hanson is to have no unsupervised contact with minors and no contact with the victim. He cannot consume alcoholic beverages or controlled substances and is not to enter establishments such as bars, taverns or liquor stores.

Hanson is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 279 pounds. He has blue eyes and shaved brown hair.
